What the f*ck
PSC Jaume Collboni
What if a political campaign dared to say “don’t vote for me”? That’s how What the f*ck was born, the rallying cry against resignation that turned Collboni into the face of fearless change.
For the Barcelona municipal elections, we set out to create a different kind of campaign, with no euphemisms and no half-measures. Under the claim “No fotem – What the f*ck” a Catalan expression that reflects frustration and anger at what’s not working, we presented Jaume Collboni as a modern candidate, direct and full of fresh ideas. A cry against resignation that broke away from traditional political communication and, for the first time, dared to deliver an unheard-of campaign message: “don’t vote for me.” An anti-campaign that spoke the same language as the street, giving voice to citizen frustration.
The creativity was as literal as it was provocative: we submerged the candidate in a water tank to symbolize the feeling of a city “with water up to its neck,” and we had him take punches from a professional boxer to portray how Barcelona is hit every time necessary measures are not taken. A bold, no-nonsense campaign that turned metaphors into real images and positioned Collboni as a candidate willing to take risks to change the city. Risks that paid off: today, he is the mayor of Barcelona.
